The opposition to ratification of the CRC is deeply rooted and long standing.
However, the time has come for the United States to commit to the protection of its children
and rejoin the international community on the issue. Furthermore, the United States can
achieve this important objective without compromising its federalist principles and
overstepping constitutional boundaries.
